I see several opportunities for projects. Ofcourse it is possible to combine opportunities.
1. Peer Reviews (exchange and analysis of good practice and policy);
We could determine if the results of the ITCOLE-projects (and CSCL in general) can be transferred to other countries, to other regions, to other institutions (especially adult and vocational education, higher education and e-learning for companies. We could do experiments with CSCL-software in these institutes or we could set up CSCL-projects (e.g. using progressive inquery) in more traditional virtual learning environments (like WebCT and BlackBoard). Results of evaluations can be compared with results of the ITCOLE-research.
We can use our community for communication, together with face-2-face workshops and conferences.
2. Networks of collaboration (‘clusters’ and Special Interest Groups — SIGs);
We can set up a SIG on CSCL. We can use our community for communication, together with face-2-face workshops and conferences. Maybe we can organize a blended learning course about CSCL.
3. Observatories (comparative analysis and, forecasting).
We could extend our communitie to ýellow pages' on CSCL. Besides, we could in-depth study as a follow up of the ITCOLE-project.
