Experiences of using CSCL software

In this disucussion group we can share our experiences and opinions of different CSCL software. What have you used? What do you think about them?

From this web site's Idea Bank you will find experiences of different CSCL practices in different levels of education. What kind of role plays the software used?

My opinion is that experienced teachers can organize good CSCL course with very simple collaborative computer tools, such email mailing lists, news groups or online discussion forums, as well. The most importan issue is the proper pedagogical planning and guiding of students.

However, I still belive that some collaborative software are better for CSCL than others. I think software designed especially for CSCL can make it easier for teachers and studens to implement CSCL activities. That's why we have listed some software to the software section.
